The Paralegal Studies Program offers the skills and knowledge to become a practicing paralegal. In just six months, you can take the next step in your career. Columbia College seeks to prepare students to function as ethical, effective, and efficient professional paralegals in law firms, businesses, government, and nonprofit organizations; to perform a wide variety of legal work under the supervision of attorneys; and to adapt easily to the changing role of the paralegal as well as the changing needs of the legal community. Columbia College Paralegal Program features a curriculum that combines practical skills with legal theory and analysis. Classes are taught by prominent attorneys and law school professors, who provide students with a balanced perspective and expertise into the tasks paralegals perform.
